Mar 12-25 07 Activities

So this is my Google Calendar of activity for the week;
Just to do a "Week in Review" I guess. Possibly to draw something from the week, just to see where the Time Goes?

Do Not know if this will be legible in blog or if it is just an image of my calendar?
As it turns out the image it legible when you click on it. Thats good but then I can not comment on it, as is, so in the future I will have to record all comments remotely and paste into post I suppose.
March 19=> 25th observations:
  • Made enough French Toast to last a week or more?
  • Picked Glenn up at Logan/ he had stories to tell.
  • Coast Gard had to come rescue a crew mate.
  • Almost Wiping out million dollar vessels going thru InterCoastal.
  • Getting Blasted and putting 3 feet of fresh water in the tugboat.
  • Watched a couple movies, watching DVD's during the day doesn't do much for me.
  • Out and About all week.

March 12=> March 18 Observations
  • On Tuesday it was 70* and two days later we had a Snow Storm, that dropped 13" of cement snow on us.
  • Ate breakfast well all week.
  • Had Sinus/Sleeping problems 1st of the week.
  • Spent $50 on eating out.
  • Could have bought alot of boiled dinners at home for the $30 I spent two days in a row.
  • But St Pat's day is once a year...
  • I got excited about seeing the Red Sox on TV again, but they are not on since Comcast took over Adelphia?
  • Roasted Green Coffee outside on the deck.
  • With the breeze and ambient temperature, I suspect the pan couldn't stay hot enough[300*].
  • Although the coffee beans didn't "crack" like I wanted them to.
  • The coffee in the morning taste fine.
  • As usual, heavy TV time during the week 9pm-11pm
  • Worked on a MindMap for "caribfish.com" website. Need feedback from GlennT

Wussiest Movies of 2006

I felt this was a particularly wussy year for movies.
BORAT? Come on, people. Haven't you had enough of the gutter comedy.
Please draw the Line..........Some Where..
Sequels/Remakes.......Hang it up Rocky.......That face can not take another stretch, same with the movie.
What a waste of ass in seat.
And whats the deal with God, Gays and Animated films with adult sub-context.
And YOU TUBE wasting gobs of 5 minute clips of humanities precious life force.
Talk about finding a needle in the proverbial haystack.
There were so many wussy films made this year, you might as well just give em all awards.

So what if the White Rabbit changes color a little early?

How would you feel if your coat turned white and there was no snow on the ground?

Would you feel just a little venerable ?

That is what is happening to the Snow Rabbits.

A cruel proposition for a rather defenseless creature.

With a White coat in a land of brown.

It decidedly reduces there ability to survive wouldn't you say?

How long will it take for the genes that tell the rabbit to change color to adapt?

To the sudden and rapid change of climate change.

Will they survive as a species and if they do not.

Who is to blame?

The only species that can change and destroy their environment.

Us.

How many other species are in the same boat,

that have not made themselves obvious to us.

Food for Thought...

Oxygen above norm, Bliss before 6 A.M.

If you have headed out in a boat before 5:30 AM....

Before any1 is on the water,
just as the sunrises
takes that initial chill off with in minutes..

The River is like glass,
no breeze, smell of low tide settling close to the surface.
The Oxygen content is refreshingly higher,
close to the rivers ebb and flow.

My Goal to increase my Chess rating 250 point

My New year's resolution is to increase my chess rating 250 point.

How?
By playing less Blitz Chess #1
Look into opening a little deeper.
I sense most people(me) lose there games,

with in the first ten moves, unable to recover.
Find the best move, then spend 30 seconds to find a better one.
Remember you are playing all 32 pieces on the board.
Know what is coming from your opponent at least 2 moves ahead.

Any advise will be welcome.........

Maxzine Von Zodiac

This is Maxzine Von Zodiac
Shes a White German Shepard.
She lived to 12.2 years old. Passed away 8/06.
The stick was eight feet long and a good 20 lbs.
She was so proud of herself that she could carry that stick all over the yard.
She knew she was something special, and liked to show off.
She was a great companion and will be remembered .
I still think I can hear her at the door wanting to come in at times....

Rhetorical Crapiers

Rhetorical Crapiers

"a rhetorical question is one asked solely to produce an effect (especially to make an assertion) rather than to elicit a reply"

Does this sound familiar?
When you listen to any of the network news channels,
and especially the channels devoted to telling you the news 24/7 !!

"a rhetorical news report is presented solely to produce an effect".
What effect are they going after? Typically it is to confuse you, yes, to make the issue as unclear as possible.

Wolfgang's Vault "Where Live Music Lives"

Jan 4, 2007 at 9:56 AM

Wolfgang's Vault

Here is a great site. Check it out if you have just a little gray.

There's only one place you can hear Bill Graham introduce the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore East, Steve Miller ask for more PA volume at Winterland, or Robert Plant kill time with the Fillmore audience while Jimmy Page re-tunes in the background. It's the same place you can listen to the greatest live music of all time in full, uncut concert format.

It's not Heaven, though it may feel like Heaven to rock music purists. It's the Concert Vault, the world's greatest collection of vintage concert recordings.

Where does it come from? In 2003, Wolfgang's Vault acquired master recordings from the archives of Bill Graham Presents. These live concerts were recorded at legendary venues like the Fillmore East and Winterland between 1965 and the late 1980s.

In early 2006, we augmented the Graham archives by acquiring the archives of the King Biscuit Flower Hour, the nationally famous syndicated rock radio broadcasts of live concerts from the 1970s and '80s.

We also added the Silver Eagle Cross Country archive of country music concerts in 2006, and we haven't stopped there. Keep an ear out for additions to the Concert Vault in the near future.

IF.....I was to put a Contract out on OJ

I know it is Xmas season and all..
But, here is a guy that is the sole reason I hope there is a Hell.......
He got $1,000,000, in his pocket.
A million dollars, when will you see a million dollars in your lifetime?

For What???

Putting his name on a book.

Agreeing to do a Faux TV show on "IF, I Did IT"

And he did do IT !!!

You Know he Did....

The Faux Pulled the plug, cause it tasted a little too Rotten.......

So, in this fine country of 300 million, if just 1% put up a Buck to Put out his Lights.
Who would you go after "If We Did It"???
Need some help here.

How would you "Do It" ?

How come there are no Sleaze-Ball of the Year awards?

OJ would take it,
HANDS DOWN !!!

French Waffles

had a Brain Storm !!!

1st thing this morning.

Making Breakfast I was all set to make French Toast.
Then I glanced at my waffler and thought,
Why not put it in there.

My waffler has a clip that allows you to close and clip it shut.
This feature surpasses the problem of the crust of the bread
holding the waffler open.
I used French Bread which fit nicely into the two bays of the waffler.
I hope you have this capability.
I dipped the bread and sprinkled cinnamon on the bread and popped it in the waffler.
After steam stops coming off the concoction, it is done.

The results was a fine waffled crust on the outside and a great custard inside.
It was a wonderful Breakfast and I am sure to try it again.
Give it a try.
Let me know how you like it?

Driving down 128N to Gloucester

the trees were near peak color. The sky is clear and traffic is light.

Someone had come along and put a pumpkin at strategic point along the highway, about every 1/2 mile, in a way that added humor and color to my day.
You couldn't miss em.

It was a random act intentionally done to make the ride to Gloucester new and different.

Divinations of 2007

My inspired guess or presentiment for 2007.

2007 will be warmer still..

Cheney will have to be #1 for a short time

Mosquito's will be an issue

New Orleans will flood again.

A Third Party Presidential candidate will make a strong showing thru use of the Internet.

Pakistan will hit the Front Page

The Service Industry will take a big hit when everyone stays home.

Oil will be < $51 Barrel

IMHO

Cacao Pods, get em before there hot!

Dec 20, 2006 at 8:15 PM

Every1 grinds their own fresh coffee beans now, right, nothing new there, once you grind em you never go back. And if you are really on top of the coffee game. You have fired up an old popcorn air machine to roast your own green beans. Still a little excessive for me right now. Maybe in the near future, though....

2007 will bring the next big cooking Fad. grinding ur own beans to make chocolate. Cacao Pods!!!

Listen up guys, you make chocolate from scratch for your significant one, You will not need "Permission 2 Land".....

Mark my sweet tooth.

Beyond the Brain, Secrets Unrevealed...

Up until recently, The Brain was the last "organ" that was truly mystifying to us as to what was going on,in there....
Not so much any more it seems.
Seems like its complexities are being reveled and manipulated.
Yes, we want to fix difficulties that manifest themselves in the Brain.
MRI scan it,magnify it and map it.
But, like Mother Earth, it is one thing to find out what, where, when how.
Quite another, to determine and change the WHY.
Caution should be the rule of the decade as we delve deeper into this organ that still holds alot of Secrets from us.

Have you ever met any celebrities?

Have you ever met any celebrities?

I once rear-ended CHER on a movie set,"Mermaid", in 1990 Cher starred in the box office modest success Mermaids with Bob Hoskins, Winona Ryder, and a then 9-year-old Christina Ricci, I Rear-Ended her totally by accident...of course....

I was in my 50 Chevy on the shoot in Rockport. She was in the station wagon with Winona Ryder and Ricci, we were suppose to ride thru town. CHER stalled her car and I bumped her rear-end ....no harm done...
